Biography:
She was born deaf, so her relatively wealthy parents decided to teach her at home, learning sign language and getting her private tutors who specialized in working with deaf children. As she had no way to communicate other than sign language and writing, she could only really "talk" with a few close friends and family members, so she became very introverted and withdrawn, and not too confident around people.
When she was young, she was always extremely envious of and inspired by songbirds—they could fly, they were beautiful, and they could sing to each other with lovely voices. She dreamed of becoming a musician, but because she was deaf, only her parents believed she could do it. They encouraged her and used their not-inconsiderable funds to commission an electronic piano hooked up to a colorful sound visualizer, which used an algorithmic color sequence to match complimentary chords and colors and replicate the structure of the different clefs. Thus, she learned quickly and mastered a wide variety of electronic instruments, even learning a few traditional ones (mostly percussion and wind instruments that didn't require tone identification) by way of body memory. Because of that, she believes that hard work can help achieve anything.
Currently, her work has sold quite well, although she keeps her personal identity a secret due to her introverted nature. She's completely self-sustaining and, though not exactly rich, pretty well-off. Since her first piano, she's completely redesigned her entire studio. Every instrument was designed by herself.
Her dream is to be able to someday be able listen to a real songbird.

Additional Information.:
She's developed the ability to read lips as well as facial expressions and body language very well, due to the fact that she has no other way to communicate with people most of the time.
As a fighter, she doesn't have much physical power or agility, but she has plenty of stamina and dexterity from her musician's background.
Because she's deaf, she relies almost completely on sight and touch. She can feel footsteps, etc. with a great deal of accuracy, and she can be extremely touchy-feely with people she knows.
She has grapheme—color synesthesia.

Weapon/Armor information:

She carries a set of twin shortswords oh her at all times for self-defense. The blades are 15" and the swords are constructed almost entirely of Ti-3AL-8V-6Cr-4Zr-4Mo titanium alloy, which has low heat and electrical conductivity and is both strong and lightweight (necessary as she doesn't have a lot of muscle strength)
The pommel also contains a small kinetic power-harnesser container filled with hydrogen gas, which charges a small battery located on the guard of the sword. It powers a very thin, vibrating core in the blade that allows it to vibrate very slightly at high speeds for higher cutting power. However, at present the battery can only sustain the vibration for around three minutes (30-minute cooldown), and holding a vibrating blade takes up more energy and somewhat disrupts her concentration. She's trying to figure out how to create a better power source so she can buff up the swords even more.
She wears underclothing made of para-aramid synthetic fiber to protect her vitals and forearms (gift from her parents); her boots have very thin soles because touch is a very important sense for her
